Information for having a bouncy castle

Hiring a Bouncy Castle whilst at Beechwood Hall

The Beechwood Hall & Rural Park insurance policy requires that all bouncy castle hires comply with these terms:

1.     Bouncy castles should be run and managed by a third party with their own insurance. Please note the hall insurance will not be valid in this instance as we do not directly supervise this activity. 

2.     The bouncy castle must have had an annual PIPA test.

3.     The PIPA test should be carried out by a RPII accredited inspector and have a certificate. 

4.     The castle should have a tagged number which will enable it to be located on the PIPA data base.  It will also advise how many people are allowed on at any one time and any height limits. 

5.     It is the hirer’s responsibility to check the bouncy castle complies. Neither Hamsey Parish Council, or Beechwood Hall & Rural Park accept any liability for injury or damage to persons or property caused by the use of the bouncy castle.

As the rural park outside the hall is open to the public, we stipulate that no bouncy castles can be placed outside the Hall (ie in the field outside the hall). There will be very limited circumstances where bouncy castles will be allowed in the field (ie a community event open to all Hamsey Parish Residents) and this permission will be sought, in writing, in advance from Hamsey Parish Council and the Hall Trustees.

NB. There are height restrictions on hiring bouncy castle for safety reasons. The height from the floor to the wooden beams in the hall is 9ft. This needs to be discussed with your chosen hire company to ensure that their castle will fit safely in the hall, otherwise they may bring one that cannot be used, meaning your bouncy castle booking could be cancelled at the last minute. The smaller ones are around 7.5ft so will fit nicely and can be used for children but check the user height restrictions with your chosen company.
